So I was hopeful that all my high altitude hiking excursions that my runs once I got back would be easier. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case. These stinking runs are kicking my butt! Fortunately, I’ve been able to run everyday since we got back. I’m hopeful that by next week the runs will get easier.

As for next week, it marks the start of our busy season at work. Basically, it means I’ll be working 24/7 for the next seven weeks. Oh the joys of AEP. Of course, I complain about it now, but the work is well worth the financial reward. Nonetheless, working 24/7 for seven weeks still stinks. This also means that I’ll have to move my workout schedule around.

My goal is to continue running daily and add the BBG workouts back in. Since I’ll be exceptionally busy, I’ll probably scale back my runs to a mile on my strength training days. Last year, I would run a mile on my break to clear my mind and reset my energy. This proved to be quite the successful strategy. Now I’m off to finish dinner.
